It is understood that in the early period of North China and East China, due to smog weather, under the influence of environmental protection and high pressure, the demand for raw material titanium dioxide in the downstream of coatings and papermaking was greatly reduced; the operating rate of titanium concentrate plant in Panxi area slightly rebounded, and the supply increased. The stability of the market has weakened; the operating rate in the northeast and other places has turned sharply, and the price of titanium dioxide has entered the downward channel.

The export situation is not satisfactory. According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs, in October this year, China's export volume of titanium dioxide was 62,974.78 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.8% and a decrease of 13.42% from the previous month. According to a large manufacturer, at present, downstream enterprises in Europe and other places have more raw material inventories, and the export volume of the market may be further reduced.

Titanium industry analyst Yang Xun believes that the domestic demand for titanium dioxide is weak, the foreign trade exports contract, the main raw material titanium concentrate deposits downside risks, and the price is stable and weak. Near the end of the year, the momentum of delivery and the tight collection made the weak market once again cast a shadow.

Fu Yijiang, deputy secretary-general of the Titanium Dioxide Industry Branch of China Coatings Industry Association, said that the weather will turn cold and the demand for titanium dioxide will gradually decrease. The loosening of European titanium dioxide will also put pressure on domestic titanium dioxide exports.
